President's Message 


Welcome to the home of the Xi Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® where we have proudly served Harford and Cecil Counties and their surrounding communities for over 40 years.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® (AKA), an international service organization, was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women. AKA is comprised of more than 360,000 initiated members.  Led by International President & CEO Danette Anthony Reed, our 2022-2026 Initiatives are under the global theme of "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood."

Xi Delta Omega Chapter is a part of the Notable North Atlantic Region, led by Elicia Pegues Spearman, Esq., where the F.I.R.S.T. pillars will be our compass: Fellowship, Innovation, Respect, Serve and Thrive.

On April 24, 1982, Xi Delta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, was chartered and has continued to champion the legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® founders’, “To be supreme in service to all mankind”.  I am proud and honored to be serving as the 14th President of Xi Delta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® under the vision of “Service First, Sisterhood Always.”

MLK Day of Service 2025







Ξ Δ Ω partnered with WE CANCERVE MOVEMENT and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc® Iota Alpha Lambda Chapter for the MLK Day of Service. We assembled 400 Snack Attack bags consisting of water, cookies, granola bars, fruit cups, juice pouch, and potato chips for distribution to the Boys and Girls Club in Aberdeen and in Edgewood, Maryland. February is American Heart Month! Xi Delta Omega kick-started the month off with a Pink Goes Red line dancing class led by the Disco Sistas and Brothas! The success of our event got over 140 people moving and exercising their heart muscle. According to the American Heart Association, "eating healthy and staying active are some of the most important things you can do to prevent heart disease and improve your personal well-being".

Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (AKA CHIPP™)


AKA CHIPP provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date.
